There is no doubt that college books are a major expense for students. It is sadly ironic that college students are the least likely to have money to afford books yet college books are some of the most expensive books to buy. However they are a necessity and without them you will be left behind in your college course. Buying college books when you are only working a low paying part time or casual job in retail or a fast food outlet is difficult, if not impossible. What with all the other expenses you have such as food, rent and your car; college books are rarely at the top of the list. So how do you earn fast money for college books? Well, there are countless ways to do and all it requires is a little imagination and a lot of determination.

The first step to making fast money for college books and other college expenses is to narrow down your interests. Everybody has at leat one hobby and everybody has a talent or two. What are your talents? Are you great at writing? Perhaps you are a good photographer? Are you good with your hands when it comes to woodworking or car maintenance?

Once you have pinpointed your talents, think about the opportunities that lie within those industries. Taking the above mentioned skills for example:

Writing
If you can write well then consider selling your talents to the local newspaper or one or more websites. Website owners just love new content and if you can offer your skills to them for less than the normal going rate, you can earn some good fast money.

Photography
Are you great with a camera? Why not approach real estate offices, local papers and other businesses or rely on photographs. Professional photographers charge a fortune and many small real estate agents and other businesses simply can not afford them. By charging less you will get a lot of work and still be well rewarded for it, whilst also getting paid for something you enjoy doing.

Manual Labor
If you can make furniture with wood, fix cars or any other type of handy work then there is plenty of opportunity for you. Although you can not advertise yourself as your are not trade qualified, you can still take on small jobs for family and friends. If your prices are good then word will get around.

Online Business
Running your own little side business while in college does not have to take up all of your time. In fact it can be as little as a few hours per week but the extra income will be what you need for your college books and other college expensive. Now that you know how to make fast money for college books the only thing left to do is to start!

If you are considering going to college or if you are already in college, one of your main concerns may be whether you are going to be able to graduate college debt free or not.  Although this certainly is a lofty goal, for many individuals it is not necessarily one that is easily obtainable.  With a little bit of careful planning, however, you would be surprised to find out that it may be possible for you to graduate college debt free and to move into the rest of your life without that monkey on your back.  Here are some suggestions that may help you along the way.

If you have not yet acquired any financing for college, you may want to look around at the possibility of finding a government grant in order to help you pay your tuition.  Some of these government grants will also help you with such things as buying books, school supplies and even housing expenses.  Grants are going to differ, however, depending on how they are handed out and which department they are coming from.  Some of them will not require you to pay any of the money back at all because it will be totally forgiven.  This is one of the easiest ways for you to graduate college debt free.

Unfortunately, these government grants are not necessarily going to be available for everybody.  We may have to go with a standard student loan in order to be able to pay for our tuition.  This can make it a little bit more difficult for you to graduate college debt free, especially if there is not any other option for you to receive your financing.  With a little bit of careful planning, however, and perhaps earning some money doing some freelancing on the Internet, you may be able to pay back a considerable amount of your student loan before any interest is added.

Another way that you may want to consider paying for your college expenses is by working your way through college.  Finding a suitable part-time job can be a bit of a challenge but there are some that are available on the Internet which you may want to look into.  You may also be able to work for the college itself as many of them allow students to do this in order to help to further tuition costs.  It’s going to take a little bit of determination on your part but it may be well worth the effort, especially if you’re able to graduate college debt free.
